ELLICOTT CITY, MD — After a deadly flood put downtown Ellicott City underwater Saturday night, county officials say they have towed 238 vehicles to lots at Centennial High School.

For cars that are not drivable, owners may recover items inside if necessary and should contact their insurance companies to arrange for removal.

To claim a vehicle, the owner should bring identification. If that is not available due to flooding, police say they will try to verify the owner's identity through questions.

Howard County police officers will be staffing the lots from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Centennial High School, 4300 Centennial Lane, Ellicott City. Call 410-313-2900 to find out if your vehicle was towed or visit the lot directly.
