Howard County Public School System Makes Weather Decision

Schools will be delayed two hours on Wednesday, Jan, 7, the Howard County Public School System reported.

The Howard County School Health Council meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. has been canceled.

The delay came after schools were closed Tuesday due to snow.

Tuesday snowfall caused many surfaces to be icy Wednesday morning, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority, which advised being extra careful while walking to and from vehicles and driving on the morning commute.

Wednesday’s forecast for Howard County showed a slight chance of snow before noon, with wind chills of -2 degrees.
