Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant Earns Best of Howard Honors

Ellicott City, MD – Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant, a Life Plan Community in Ellicott City, MD, has been recognized as Best Retirement Community and Best Nursing Home in the Best of Howard awards. This recognition marks the seventh time LVMG has been recognized for excellence in senior living.

“We are grateful to have received this recognition. It’s a reflection of the relationships we've built with our residents, their families, our dedicated team members and the Howard County community. We are honored by this continued vote of confidence,” said Felicia Anthony, LVMG’s executive director.

LVMG recently completed a major expansion that added a new independent living apartment building with 43 residences, the K.J. Yoon Chapel and Performing Arts Center—a versatile venue for worship services, concerts and community events—and a gastro pub featuring indoor and outdoor dining where residents can enjoy chef-prepared meals in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

The community also expanded its long-term care and assisted living, including adding a new memory care neighborhood in its Health Care Center. The neighborhood is thoughtfully
designed to provide engagement, comfort and security. Its cozy gathering spaces and interactive activity areas encourage socialization with family and friends, and participation in
cognitive enriching programs. Outside, a therapeutic garden offers residents a peaceful outdoor retreat where they can connect with nature, stimulate the senses, encourage positive
memories and support emotional well-being by helping reduce stress, anxiety and agitation.

Since opening in 2016, LVMG has grown significantly to meet the evolving needs of older adults in Ellicott City and the surrounding communities.

Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant, a community of Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland, is an accredited, not-for-profit life plan community in Ellicott City, MD, serving over 400 residents in 284 homes and apartments, 42 assisted living suites and 16 skilled nursing care beds.
