Man Assaulted Trying To Sell Motorcycle: HoCo Police Roundup

The Howard County Police Department reports a home invasion, vehicle thefts, thefts from vehicles and burglaries occurring in the past week.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following incidents occurred across Howard County July 21-27 as reported July 27 per the Howard County Police Department.

July 27
Commercial burglary
Columbia, 21044: 10600 block of Little Patuxent Parkway, July 24 6:13 a.m., Unknown suspect(s) entered two businesses in the office building by prying open the door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Columbia, 21045: 5300 block of Thunder Hill Road, July 25, sunglasses
Laurel, 20723: 9300 block of 3rd Street, 9400 block of 2nd Street, July 25-26 overnight, unclear what if anything was stolen

Police have made an arrest in a June 24 burglary at Music & Arts in the 11200 block of Scaggsville Road in Laurel. A suspect entered the business by breaking the front glass door and stole musical instruments. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him. ARRESTED: Brion Zacari Reynolds, 20, of Pentland Hills Drive in Upper Marlboro, charged with burglary, theft, and destruction of property

Home invasion
Elkridge, 21075: 6800 block of Alexander Lawson, July 21 7:47 p.m.
An adult male victim reported that he placed an ad online to sell a motorcycle and advised a prospective buyer to meet him at his residence. An adult female suspect arrived and forced her way into the residence and demanded cash. The suspect and two additional female suspects then assaulted the victim and stole cash before fleeing in a vehicle. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing. SUSPECTS: three black females, approximately 5’5”-5’9” with no further description
Robbery
Columbia, 21044: 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road, July 21 8:13 p.m.
An adult male victim reported that he met up with three male suspects who entered his vehicle, threatened him with pocket knives, and demanded his belongings. The victim complied. No one was injured. Police responded and arrested the three suspects. Police believe the incident was drug-related. ARRESTED: three juvenile males, 17 and 15 of Columbia, and 15 of Maryland City, charged with armed robbery
