Man Hanging From Top Of 9-Story Parking Ramp Rescued By Howard County Police Officers

HoCo officers are being lauded for their quick actions in pulling a man to safety after he was seen hanging from the top of a parking ramp.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Officers from the Howard County Police Department were dispatched last week to a nine-story parking garage in Columbia for a report of a man on the ledge of the top floor.

When officers arrived at the parking ramp, they found the man hanging off the ledge. According to the police department, the officers sprinted to the man and grabbed him "just in time, pulling him to safety."

The man was then taken to the hospital for treatment.

"The officers’ quick and decisive action saved the man’s life. Kudos to PFC England and POs Omesh, Amaya and Ely for their exemplary work," the department shared on its Facebookpage.
