Man Killed In Industrial Accident In Howard County
Police said a man died in a work-related incident in Howard County.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police said a man died when he was pinned between a front-end loader and a truck Friday in Ellicott City while at work. A man working next door found him around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.
William James Harkins, 30, of Glen Burnie, was pronounced deceased, police said.
He worked at Maryland Landscape Supply in the 2000 block of Daniels Road, according to officials.

Police said preliminarily that it appeared Harkins had been attempting to put a container into a front-end loader when he became pinned. Investigators said they did not believe there were any indications of foul play.
