Man Thrown From Motorcycle Dies

A motorcyclist heading eastbound on Baltimore National Pike at Frederick Road was thrown from the vehicle and killed, according to police.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened Saturday night in Ellicott City.

At around 7:30 p.m., a 2008 Yamaha FZ1 was heading eastbound on Baltimore National Pike at Frederick Road when it left the road.

The man driving the motorcycle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Howard County Police.

Preliminarily, investigators believe speed was a factor.

Eastbound Baltimore National Pike in the area of Frederick Road was closed for approximately two hours.
