National Art Honor Society and Art Club host benefit for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center

The National Art Honor Society and Art Club at Marriotts Ridge High School will host an Afternoon Tea on Sunday, Nov. 18, from 1-2 p.m., in the school commons area. Refreshments will include black and herbal teas and a selection of sweet and savory foods prepared by National Art Honor Society members and the school’s Culinary Arts Department. Ticket holders will also receive a hand-made tea cup.

Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door. Contact LaVerne_Miers-Bond@hcpss.org with questions and to make a reservation. All proceeds benefit Grassroots, Howard County’s only 24-hour crisis intervention center and homeless shelter.

Following the Afternoon Tea, the school will present its matinee production of “You Can’t Take it With You.” Play tickets are sold separately. Marriotts Ridge High School is located at 12100 Woodford Drive, Marriottsville, MD 21104.
