2 Seriously Injured In Ellicott City Crash: Police
Two Ellicott City residents were taken to shock trauma after a car went off the road Saturday and crashed into trees, police said.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police said two people were seriously injured in a crash that required a medevac response near Ellicott City Saturday night. A 2015 McLaren Spider was the only vehicle involved in the collision, the Howard County Police Department reported. It crashed into trees off Carroll Mill Road.
Driver Eric Todd Pakulla, 45, of Ellicott City, and passenger Renee Antoinette Jefferson, 46, of Ellicott City, were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.
Both were seriously injured, according to authorities, who reported Pakulla was in critical condition, while Jefferson was in stable condition at the time they were hospitalized.

Police said it was unclear what caused the crash.
At 7:09 p.m., Pakulla was driving the McLaren Spider east on Carroll Mill Road when the car left the road east of Mount Albert Road and hit multiple trees.

At least one person was trapped, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, which reported a Maryland State Police helicopter was called to the scene.
Carroll Mill Road was closed between Folly Quarter Road and Triadelphia Road until approximately 9 p.m., police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Eric Pakulla owns a real estate firm in Ellicott City under his name.
