Murder-Suicide In Ellicott City Leaves Couple Dead: Police
BREAKING: An Ellicott City man allegedly killed his wife and himself in the backyard while their children were in the house, police said.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A couple died Monday night in Ellicott City in what police said was a murder-suicide.
Samuel Lancelotta, 48, is believed to have shot his wife Beth, 48, and then himself in the backyard of their home in the 4600 block of Sheppard Lane, officials said.
The shooting took place at 10:40 p.m. while the Lancelottas' three teenage children were inside their home, according to police.

After one of the couple's sons called 911 to report a shooting, officials said they found the parents in the backyard.
Both Samuel and Beth Lancelotta were taken by helicopter to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where they were pronounced dead, police reported.
