Next ARTreach Courtyard Concert set for October 3

'A Restoration Project' will perform at the Arts Council's next ARTreach Courtyard Concert, October 3 at 5pm at Long Reach Village Center

Experience an evening of jazz with A Restoration Project during Howard County Arts Council’s second free ARTreach Courtyard Concert at Long Reach Village Center.

Originally from NYC, bandleader Cleon Cumberbatch is quickly making inroads into the Baltimore jazz scene. A seasoned saxophonist with roots in classical music and straight-ahead as well as smooth jazz, Cleon has played with a variety of outstanding local musicians. Joining him in this ever-evolving collaboration are talented percussionist Kelvin Carney and always steady bassist Ed Kernan.

A Restoration Project will perform Saturday, October 3rd from 5 to 7 pm. No tickets are required for this free community concert! Some seating is available, but feel free to bring your own chair.

This ARTreach concert coincides with another Long Reach Village Center event, Bowled Over, the Columbia Art Center’s Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, which takes place October 3 from 6–9pm. To purchase tickets, call the Columbia Art Center at 410-730-0075.

A free music series presented by Howard County Arts Council through a grant from Howard County, MD, ARTreach Courtyard Concerts invite members of the community to enjoy performances by local and regional musicians as they visit Long Reach Village Center shops and restaurants, explore the art center, or relax in the courtyard. Concerts will be scheduled monthly through December, and will be held in conjunction with gallery events at the Columbia Art Center.
