Old Navy Shoplifters Assault Worker, Customer: HoCo Police
A group turned violent when confronted about taking merchandise from a store at the Long Gate shopping center, police said.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Police said that shoplifters assaulted an employee and a customer at Old Navy over the weekend in Ellicott City. The suspects all got away, according to authorities.
An employee at the store had confronted three women and a man who were stealing merchandise from the store in the Long Gate Shopping Center at 4:19 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, police allege.
Officials said the suspects assaulted the worker and a customer who stepped in to help.

The suspects got away from the store in the 4300 block of Montgomery Road with some merchandise, according to police.
Neither the employee nor the customer was injured.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The suspects were described as being in their 20s.
