Route 40 Carjacking Suspect Charged

Police said a 20-year-old woman was charged in the Ellicott City carjacking involving an online vehicle sale.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A Baltimore woman has been charged in a carjacking that occurred on Route 40 in Ellicott City earlier this month.

Police said that Jordan Alexis Reaves, 20, of Cross Trails Road in Baltimore, was charged with carjacking, robbery, motor vehicle theft and assault.

Through investigation, authorities said they identified Reaves as the woman who stole a vehicle from an online seller in the 9100 block of Baltimore National Pike.

There had been an arrangement made online to meet in person, and when the seller got out of the vehicle after a test drive, police said Reaves pushed him and drove away.

The carjacking occurred at 3:56 p.m. on Oct. 14, police said.
