Route 40 Traffic Stop Ends With No Bail For Passenger
Police said a passenger was arrested after a traffic stop on Route 40 in Ellicott City; he faces eight charges.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Police said a man was charged with several crimes after the vehicle he was riding in was pulled over on US 40 in Ellicott City over the weekend. The 30-year-old west Baltimore man is being held without bail as of Monday, court records show.
Police said the man was arrested during a traffic stop in the 8500 block of Baltimore National Pike at 11:16 p.m. on Saturday.
Antonio Grant, 30, of the 2700 block of Edmondson Avenue, was the passenger in the vehicle, according to the Howard County Police Department. He was taken into custody after authorities said they found he was in possession of a handgun and suspected marijuana.

He faces eight charges, according to court records:
- Loaded handgun on person
- Handgun on person
- Loaded handgun in vehicle
- Handgun in vehicle
- Illegal possession of ammunition
- Possessing a firearm in a drug offense
- Unlawful possession of a registered firearm
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
