• Main Street Music Fest Returns To Old Ellicott City (patch.com) — Residents can look forward to Main Street Music Fest returning to Old Ellicott City on Sept. 19, bringing live music on multiple stages, artisan and food vendors, and kids' activities. The all-day event runs from noon to 8 p.m., and organizers are actively seeking volunteers to help with setup, ticket sales, crafts, and teardown.
   

• Residents Report Theft Of Cash, Jewelry After Ellicott City Homes Broken Into (patch.com) — Two Ellicott City homes were recently broken into, with thieves entering through windows and stealing cash, jewelry and other valuables, prompting a security reminder for residents. Howard County Police urge neighbors to lock all doors and windows, secure garage access, hide valuables in less obvious spots, lock vehicles, and promptly report any suspicious activity by calling 911 or the non-emergency line.
