Suspicious Man at Centennial High School 'Not Aggressive'

The man was holding political signs.

On May 6, Centennial High School issued to alert them that an adult male was on school property, approaching students and "encouraging kids to 'join him.'"

According to Principal Carl Perkins, the man was carrying signs with political messages about the economy. Although he approached students as they were leaving school, "the students ignored him and walked away," Perkins said in an e-mail.

A resource officer and security guard approached the man, and "directed him away from school grounds," Perkins said. The resource officer said that the man was not aggressive toward the students and didn't pursue them.
