Traffic Delays Anticipated For Installation Of 30K Gallon Fire Suppression Tank
Drivers should plan for traffic delays when crews install a 30K gallon fire suppression tank in Clarksville.
CLARKSVILLE, MD — Temporary lane closures will affect the flow of traffic at the intersection of Mill Creek Court and Haviland Mill Road in Clarksville starting later this month.
A project to install a 30,000-gallon fire suppression tank at the intersection of Mill Creek Court and Haviland Mill Road has been scheduled to start Jan. 26. The project calls for a 60-foot-long by 40-foot-wide by 15-foot-high construction trench to place the tank in underground with a concrete pad installed on top.
The tank will enhance fire protection for the surrounding community since the area is not covered by the county’s water distribution system, officials said.

Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by mid-March.
Flagging operations will be in place and signs have been posted to alert drivers and residents of the construction, since temporary lane closures can be expected along both Mill Creek Court and Haviland Mill Road in the project area during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
