Two Youths Arrested in Vacant Home Incident: Ellicott City Crime

A look at recent crime reports in Ellicott City.

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about incidents reported this week in Ellicott City:

Appliances and furniture were stolen from a home in the 8500 block of High Ridge Road in a burglary that occurred sometime between June 15 and Nov. 12. There were no signs of forced entry associated with the burglary.

Two juveniles were arrested in connection with a burglary in the 8300 block of Governors Run. At approximately 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, officers responded to a report of two people running from a vacant home into the woods and found the boys, who admitted to going into the home through a window. They were both taken into custody.

A generator was stolen from an attached garage on Linwood Drive. The burglary happened between Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 and was late reported. There were no signs of forced entry.

Someone was seen urinating in the street in the 12700 block of Maryvale Court, reported just before 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7.
