Weather Decision For HCPSS On Tuesday Jan 30 2018
BREAKING: Public schools in Howard County will operate on a modified schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Howard County will open late on Tuesday, Jan. 30, according to school officials. The Howard County Public School System announced a two-hour delay Tuesday morning.
Morning sessions of half-day prekindergarten and RECC are canceled, the announcement said.
All morning child care programs that are sponsored by the Columbia Association and the Howard County Department of Recreation & Parks in Howard County public schools will be delayed two hours.

Transportation officials advise drivers to allow themselves extra time on the morning commute as snow falls throughout the region. There is potential for slippery spots on area roads, and motorists should reduce their speeds.
Accumulations between a coating and a half-inch of snow are expected between 3 and 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
