Woodbine House Fire: 2 Adults And Dog Displaced, Officials Say
Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze Tuesday in Woodbine, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

WOODBINE, MD — Firefighters battled a two-alarm house blaze in Woodbine midday Tuesday, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. Two adults and their dog were displaced as a result of the fire, officials said, and they are receiving assistance from the Red Cross. The cause of the blaze, which took hours to control, remains under investigation.
Crews were dispatched to the 1500 block of Old Annapolis Road for a report of a garage fire at 11:17 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the garage and main structure and immediately called for more personnel. Assistance came from Carroll, Frederick and Montgomery counties.

A man and his dog got out of the home before firefighters arrived, and nobody was injured, officials said.
Firefighters fought the flames from the exterior due to the conditions, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported after 11:50 a.m. In all, it took approximately two hours to bring the fire under control.
