Disabled Middle River Man Killed in House Fire: Officials
Two Baltimore County men have died in fires since Friday, public safety officials report, including one in Middle River home.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD — A man with a disability died in a house fire at his Middle River home this week, Baltimore County public safety officials reported Wednesday.
Howard Francis Holehan, 67, was declared deceased at the scene when firefighters arrived at his residence in the 10000 block of Crane Lane at 5:35 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, authorities said.
The man was disabled, and nobody else was there at the time, according to officials.

Authorities said the one-alarm fire, caused by the careless use of smoking materials, was ruled accidental.
This was the second fire death in a week for Baltimore County. A Parkville man died on Jan. 31 in an apartment fire, which investigators said was also caused by careless smoking.
