Driver Dies After Middle River Crash: Police

Three people have died as a result of Saturday morning's crash on Eastern Avenue, according to police.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD — A third person has died from a crash that happened Saturday morning in Middle River, officials said. Two passengers were pronounced deceased at the scene; police later reported the driver died.

Andre Demonte Dixon, 39, of Alberge Lane, succumbed to injuries from the crash, police said Sunday morning.

Dixon had been driving a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 west on Eastern Avenue that left the road before Carroll Island Road, hit several trees and caught fire after 1 a.m. on Saturday, officials reported.

Michael Darnell Satchell Jr., 26, and Michael Jackson Jr., 15, both of Middle River, were pronounced deceased at the scene. They had been sitting in the backseat, police reported.

After the crash, authorities said Dixon and two passengers were taken to a local hospital. According to WJZ, the two passengers escaped from the truck, while Dixon, Satchell and Jackson were trapped inside.

The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
