Water Rescue Teams Search for Man in Middle River: Police
A 71-year-old man fell in the water Wednesday in Baltimore County, prompting dive teams and the U.S. Coast Guard to respond.

UPDATE: The body of the missing boater has been found. Crews located the man who disappeared from Dark Head Creek Thursday morning, deceased.
MIDDLE RIVER, MD — A man fell into the water in the Middle River area Wednesday afternoon and was still missing as of 6 p.m., Baltimore County public safety officials reported.
Before 12:45 p.m., crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Kingston Park Lane East, where a 71-year-old man disappeared in the water.

A witness reportedly saw the man jump into the water as a small vessel was sinking, then watched as a good Samaritan threw him a life jacket, but he could not reach it, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The man went underwater and did not resurface in the area of Dark Head Creek, reported the coast guard, which was coordinating the search with the Baltimore County marine team and Harford County dive team.

As of 3:45 p.m., the Baltimore dive team was also assisting in the search as the man was still missing.
As of 6 p.m., Baltimore County officials reported the man had not been located, and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police was continuing the investigation.
