Man Shot During Bowleys Quarters Home Invasion: Police
Police say two men knocked on the door Monday morning—and announced a robbery when it opened.

A man was shot during a home invasion in Bowleys Quarters Monday morning, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
The 27-year-old victim was in surgery at an area hospital Monday afternoon with serious injuries after he was shot in an apartment in the 3800 block of Dunsmuir Circle, police reported.
The man and a 20-year-old woman were inside the apartment at approximately 10:30 a.m. when they heard knocking and answered the door, according to the report.

Two men—one wielding a handgun—announced a robbery and went into the apartment, the report said.
After a brief struggle, police said the 27-year-old was shot and sustained serious injuries.

The suspects took an unknown amount of cash and left, police reported.
Authorities are working to determine whether the crime was random or targeted.
