Pedestrian Killed On Eastern Boulevard: Police

ESSEX, MD — A man died after he was hit while crossing the street Tuesday night on Eastern Boulevard, according to police. Authorities said that a truck exiting Route 702 crashed into the pedestrian at 5:23 p.m.

The 49-year-old victim was taken to Franklin Square Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said. The driver of the 2003 Ford F-150 remained at the scene.

Police said the victim was not being identified pending next-of-kin notification.
