The Thrift Boutique Announces Expansion Plans

The Thrift Boutique has signed on to a warehouse lease in Essex, with plans to expand the retail store over the next five years.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Thrift Boutique signed on for a new warehouse lease in Essex and announced plans for a larger expansion in the county.

The lease, which cements a partnership with the Golden Ring Business Center, is for a 3,600-square-foot space intended to be used for overflow inventory. It will be located at 7110-7130 Golden Ring Road.

Lazaros Giannos opened the first brick-and-mortar Thrift Boutique storefront in 2025 in Dundalk. The store provides residents with affordable clothing, footwear and household goods.

"We chose Golden Ring Business Center because it is centrally located within our desired expansion footprint," Giannos said in a release.

"Our current location does not have adequate storage and this warehouse will help us properly organize and sort products."

Giannos said he is planning to open a second location of The Thrift Boutique in 2026, with plans to open another four sites within the next five years.

The Greek-American business owner started The Thrift Boutique out of his home garage after immigrating to the U.S. in 2008.

The Thrift Boutique site in Dundalk can be found at 1589 Merritt Blvd. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
