Germantown Woman Identified As Crash Victim: Police

A Germantown woman was killed Sunday in a crash that closed Bowie Mill Road for hours; a man and a teenager were injured.

OLNEY, MD — A Germantown woman was killed in a crash Sunday morning that led to an hours-long closure of Bowie Mill Road. The crash happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Bowie Mill Road between Fraley Farm Road and October Court, according to Montgomery County Police Department Capt. Paul Starks.

Investigators say a 2012 Honda Accord was westbound on Bowie Mill Road and a 2015 Ford Mustang was eastbound on Bowie Mill Road in the area of Fraley Farm Road when the two cars collided. The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.

The driver of the Honda Accord — Xiaolin Fu, 51, of Circle Gate Drive in Germantown — was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two passengers in his vehicle — Wenshuo Zhu, 45, also of Circle Gate Drive and a 13-year-old girl, Grace Fu of Circle Gate Drive — were also taken to local hospitals. Police say Zhu died from her injuries at the hospital. The girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford Mustang — William Eduardo Gonzalez, 21, of Wickham Road in Olney — was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not determined if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. No arrests have been made.
