15-Year-Old Arrested After 3 Stolen Vehicles Found In Gaithersburg: Police

Police arrested a 15-year-old and recovered three stolen vehicles after several people were spotted looking into cars in Gaithersburg.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A 15-year-old was arrested and three stolen cars were recovered after Montgomery County police responded to reports of several people looking into vehicles in Gaithersburg early Friday.

Officers were called to the 17600 block of Town Crest Drive around 1:05 a.m. and saw four males get out of two vehicles and run toward a wooded area, police said.

Officers established a perimeter and found the 15-year-old, who was taken into custody without incident. Three other suspects were not located.

Police recovered three stolen vehicles at the scene.

Police arrested the teenager on charges of motor vehicle theft and malicious destruction of property. Police recommended charges to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.
