34-Year-Old Man Identified In Fatal Gaithersburg Pedestrian Crash
Montgomery County Police identified the man as a 34-year-old Germantown resident.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County Police on Monday identified the man killed in a pedestrian crash in Gaithersburg as Joe Dodou, of Germantown.
Authorities said in a release that the 34-year-old man suffered fatal injuries Thursday after being hit by the driver of a 2020 Infiniti QX60.
The deadly collision occurred around 3:30 a.m., as Dodou was crossing Maryland Route 355 near the intersection with Christopher Avenue.

Police said the Infiniti had been traveling in the southbound lanes.
The driver, who has not been identified, remained at the scene as first responders transferred Dodou to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

No charges have been announced in the case.
