Two of the top-ranked pizzerias from across the nation are located in Maryland, according to a team of inspectors who judge pies globally.
Of the shops that landed on the 50 Top Pizza guide, Maryland clinched the 20th and 44th slots.

Pie inspectors praised Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana for its "well-leavened" dough and "slightly pronounced crust" that offers diners a "light crunch on the outside and a soft interior."
Officials recommend the pizza topped with asparagus, pistachio pesto, cooked cherry tomatoes and stracciatella.
When it comes down to Angeli's, the pizzeria rebuilt in Charm City after the business was impacted by Hurricane Katrina, inspectors said the pizzas encompass a classic "Italian taste."
The complete USA 2026 guide features 116 restaurants across 29 different states. New York is the most represented state with 27 restaurants, followed by California with 13 and Florida with 10.

Pie lovers can get a taste of what Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana has to offer Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., or until the dough runs out. Doors are closed Sunday through Tuesday.
Hours for Angeli's vary by location, with the Charles St. site holding the latest weekend hours.
