Writopia Lab DC Hosts Barnes & Noble Reading for Young Writers

Ever wondered what Norman Mailer was writing like at age 10? Well, you might not be able to go back in time and collect the author's preteen years, but you might get a pretty good idea this coming September. Writopia Lab is hosting three Barnes & Noble readings which will feature the region’s youngest up-and-coming writers. All Writopia Lab participants who have completed a piece are invited to share at this end-of summer reading. The events will be held at:

  • Bethesda B&N (map) -- Sunday, September 9th from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Alexandria B&N (map) -- Wednesday, September 12th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Gaithersburg B&N (map) -- Sunday, September 16th from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Writopia Lab (www.WritopiaLab.org) is an award-winning non-profit organization that holds creative writing workshops for kids ages 8-18.  They offer weekly after-school and weekend workshops throughout the school year, and week-long workshops during school breaks and throughout the summer. They are situated in three convenient locations: NW Washington (Tenleytown) and Alexandria, VA, and Rockville, MD.
