32 People Treated For Bee Stings At Gaithersburg High School
Three were taken to a local hospital for treatment, says fire spokesman.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A swarm of bees disrupted the start of classes Thursday morning at Quince Orchard High School, and 32 people were treated for bee stings, according to a media report. Three people were taken to a local hospital, but none of the injuries was life-threatening, said a spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services.
First responders arrived at the high school at around 8 a.m. and treated multiple people with bee stings, according to tweets from Pete Piringer, the fire and rescue spokesman.
Radio station WTOP reported that the incident occurred as students were arriving for classes and crossing the street in front of the school, at 15800 Quince Orchard Road.

The bee hive was across Quince Orchard Road from the high school, near a doughnut shop, WTOP reported. County animal control officers went to the scene Thursday morning to find the hive.
