AT&T Adds New Cell Site to its 4G LTE Network in Montgomery County

The holidays are right around the corner, but many drivers see blinking lights year round at the intersection of Clopper and Quince Orchard roads in Gaithersburg.

Those brake lights may make you see red, but there is now a new tool that will help you avoid that area when itโ€™s a parking lot.

Today, AT&T officially announced that a new 4G LTE cell site is up and running in that area. That means better, faster, and more reliable service when you need it most.

Now Gaithersburg residents won't have to worry about experiencing a drop of service when checking traffic reports and alerting family and friends to congested areas that should be avoided.

This addition also means AT&T customers around Clopper and Quince Orchard will get better service when watching videos, posting to social media or texting, as well.

Dennis Dunn, president of AT&T in Maryland says, โ€œWe want our customers to have a great experience. Theyโ€™ll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network.โ€

He adds, โ€œWeโ€™re always working to provide better coverage. And weโ€™re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.โ€
