Death Of Man Found On Gaithersburg Road Is Suspicious: Police

Tuesday morning Montgomery County Police officers responded to a report of a dead person at a Gaithersburg intersection.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A suspicious death is being investigated after Montgomery County police found a dead body at the intersection of Cherry Laurel Lane and Coriander Drive in Gaithersburg.

Police received the call shortly before 8:45 a.m. and encountered the deceased man on the side of the roadway. Officials did not immediately release more information about the incident or the victim.

Earlier Tuesday, county fire and rescue service spokesman Pete Piringer said the victim was a pedestrian who was hit by a car.

However, Capt. C. Thomas Jordan, a county police spokesman, said that it's too early to say how the person died. The department's Major Crimes Division is conducting an investigation.
