The Gaithersburg Antique and Collectible Show is celebrating its 15th year October 6 & 7, 2012 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 16 Chestnut Street, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The show hours are Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $6 which is good for both days. There will be many dealers with a fine assortment of antiques and collectibles for sale including furniture, porcelains, silver, books, linens, advertising, jewelry, movie/TV memorabilia, coins, toys, paintings, autographs, dolls, civil war, sports memorabilia, decorative accessories and much more. As it has done for many years, this show will also host a celebrity autograph session. Celebrities scheduled for this show include movie/TV actress Veronica Cartwright and actor Ron Ely. Veronica Cartwright who as a child actress appeared in the movies “The Children’s Hour” and “The Birds”. She is best known for her roles in the science fiction films “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” and “Alien”. Ron Ely starred in the TV series “Tarzan” and the movie “Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze”. They will be talking with fans and signing autographs for a nominal fee. There will be good food and free parking. To reach the fairgrounds take exit 11 off I-270 and follow the signs.
