Police Say Missing Gaithersburg Mom, Daughter Found Safe: UPDATE

GAITHERSBURG, MD — In a Monday evening update, Montgomery County officials say Jamayhla Ann Glassie and her daughter, Genesis Sandy, have been located and are safe.


(Original post) GAITHERSBURG, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a mother and daughter missing from Gaithersburg.

Jamayhla Ann Glassie, 38, of the 9300 block of Willow Creek Dr., was last seen with her 4-year-old daughter on the morning of March 1. Investigators describe Glassie as a 5-foot-7, 200-pound female. Her hair has been cut short since the picture, posted above, was taken.

Police say Genesis Sandy — Glassie's daughter — is 3-feet tall and possibly wearing a leopard or cheetah print winter jacket.

Officials believe Glassie drove her vehicle to the Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, where it was later found. They added that the pair may be enroute to family or friends in another state.

Family members are concerned for their wellbeing.
