It is unclear why the media outlet is reorganizing, but the editor thanked local business owners, the city, and readers for their support.
On Facebook, readers asked The Town Courier what they could do to keep the newspaper afloat.

The news comes as hundreds of local papers across the country struggle to pursue digital subscription models and offset advertising revenue declines.
Montgomery County Sentinel and Prince George's Sentinel — two weekly newspapers with a reliable and steady presence in the Washington capital region — went out of business in January.
