Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival Runs Nov. 24-Dec. 31
The Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival runs every night except Christmas, Nov. 24-Dec.31; proceeds benefit local nonprofits.

GAITHERSBURG, MD - From the City of Gaithersburg: The City of Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival welcomes visitors for its 22nd spectacular season. The wondrous display of lights at Seneca Creek State Park will be open nightly November 24 through December 31, Sunday through Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. Please note that the festival will be closed on December 25. The park is located at 11950 Clopper Road, just a few miles west of the intersection with I-270. Admission at the gate is $12 per carMonday through Thursday and $15 per car Friday through Sunday, payable by cash or credit card.
The 3.5 mile drive through the enchanted woodland setting of Seneca Creek State Park takes you past more than 450 illuminated displays and beautifully lit park trees that brighten the night. Festival favorites include a Fairytale scene, Winter Woods, Teddy Bear Land, Toyland, Victorian Village, and the North Pole.
Bring your four-legged friends and the whole family out for an invigorating 1 or 3-mile walk at Leashes ‘n’ Lights on Tuesday, November 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. Please note that theS’more Lights event scheduled on Friday, November 17 and the Wine Under the Lights event scheduled for Sunday, November 19 have already sold out. Experience Winter Lights with Casey Community Center at its “Chili” Winter Night on December 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. Dine on a delicious chili dinner at Casey Community Center and then enjoy a bus tour of the beautiful Winter Lights Festival. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children ages four to ten, and includes meal, beverages and Winter Lights admission. Ages 3 and under are free. Registration deadline is Nov. 30. In the spirit of the holidays, a portion of the proceeds from the 2017 festival will benefit local nonprofit organizations including Upcounty Community Resources, Donation Nation, Inc., Metropolitan Ballet Theatre & Academy, Montgomery County Muslim Foundation, and Campus Kitchen at USG.
