Labor Day Weekend Art Exhibits
Artist Vian Borchert's artwork on exhibit for Labor Day Weekend at Glen Echo Park's Yellow Barn Gallery and Stone Tower Gallery.
September is a busy month for artist and art instructor Vian Shamounki Borchert. For the Labor Day Weekend, Borchert has artwork in both the "Drawing Exhibition" at the Yellow Barn Gallery and at the "Instructor's Exhibition" at the Stone Tower Gallery. Both galleries are located at the historic Glen Echo Park in Glen Echo, MD
For the Drawing Exhibition, Vian made especially two drawings made in charcoal and colored pencils. One of the drawing is of late singer "Amy Winehouse" whose beauty and story the artist finds inspiring. Also, for the drawing exhibit, Borchert made a drawing of legendary reggae musician and singer the beloved "Bob Marley" whose music filled with love and hope has been a source of inspiration for Borchert's art. The Drawing exhibition runs through the whole Labor Day Weekend from Sept. 2 - 5. Gallery hours: 12-5PM

In regards to the "Instructor's Exhibition" the exhibit is at the Stone Tower Gallery from September 2 - Oct. 2, 2016. Borchert, an art instructor at the Yellow Barn Studios teaching painting classes to adults has her painting "Man with White Shirt" on display.

Moreover, it is the last weekend for the "Americana" exhibition on display at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn Gallery where Borchert an art instructor there in painting and drawing has many of her American Pop icons portrait paintings on display. The Gaithersburg Arts Barn Gallery is located at: 311 Kent Square Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878
Also, in September, Borchert will have an extensive art exhibition at "The Monroe Trust Artist Collective" at "Better Homes & Gardens Premier" located at: 1515 14th Street, NW Suite #200, Washington, DC.
The exhibition will showcase the latest abstract and figurative artwork of Borchert. The exhibiton is titled "Commotion".
The Reception will be on Thursday Sept. 15 from 6:30-8:30 PM. The exhibit will last for 6-8 weeks.
Free and open to the public.

Vian will resume teaching her art classes in the Fall at both the Gaithersburg Arts Barn and at the Yellow Barn Studio.
