Names Released Of Husband Killed, Wife Hurt After Being Hit By SUV
A man died and his wife was hurt after they were hit by an SUV while trying to cross a street, police said. Their names have been released.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Gaithersburg man died and his wife was hurt after they were hit by an SUV while trying to cross a street Wednesday, police said. Their names have been released.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police are investigating the crash that occurred in the area of Muddy Branch Road and King James Way.
About 2:03 p.m., officers from the Gaithersburg City Police Department, 6th District and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to a collision between a vehicle and two pedestrians.

Detectives determined that the pedestrians were crossing Muddy Branch Road from west to east at Kings James Way when they were struck by a gray 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle traveling southbound on Muddy Branch Road. The driver remained on scene.
The male pedestrian, identified as 78-year-old Phillip Kwang Bon Uh of Gaithersburg, suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second pedestrian, identified as the wife of Bon Uh, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
