No Names Released in Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Montgomery County Police say a motorcyclist died from injuries suffered in a Gaithersburg crash.

A man has died from injuries suffered when his motorcycle collided with a car making a U-turn Saturday night in Gaithersburg, according to Montgomery County Police.

Police and rescue units were called to the intersection of Frederick Road (Route 355) and Christopher Avenue just before 8 p.m. Saturday for the report of a collision.

Investigators believe a motorcycle was southbound on Frederick Road when it struck a black Acura MDX making a U-turn from northbound Frederick Road to southbound Frederick Road.

The 35-year-old motorcycle driver was taken to Suburban Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The 48-year-old female driver of the Acura, and two female occupants, ages 82 and 52, were not injured.
