Maryland Man Facing Federal Indictment for Role in COVID-19 Healthcare Fraud Scheme Totaling More Than $100M (justice.gov) — A Rockville man has been federally indicted for allegedly leading a nationwide COVID‑19 testing fraud scheme through Tiero, LLC, a company based in Gaithersburg, that prosecutors say generated over $50 million in improper insurance payments. Investigators claim Tiero misused a Maryland lab certification to bill for at‑home tests as if they were lab‑performed services, with potential prison terms of up to 10 years per count if he's convicted.
   

5. Montgomery County's 10 Greatest Football Players of All Time (mocoshow.com) — A new ranking of Montgomery County's greatest football players includes Gaithersburg's own Tony Greene at No. 7, recognizing his All-Pro NFL career and 37 interceptions. The list, compiled by the DMV High School Football Coaches Association, spans stars from Bullis, Richard Montgomery, Churchill, and other local schools, sparking debate over who was left out.
