Second Teen Arrested, Charged With Murder In Wheaton Killing

WHEATON, MD — Another teenager has been arrested and charged with murder in the killing of Marvin Alexander Mendoza, 25, in Wheaton last week. Randy Aaron Powell, 17, is being held without bond. Montgomery County Police did not say where Powell lives.

Erik Aguilar, a 19-year-old from Silver Spring, was charged in connection with the killing earlier this week.

Police say they responded to a call about gunshots on Aug. 10, and found Mendoza's body. The medical examiner said it was a homicide.
