Vian Shamounki Borchert Presents Spring Art Exhibit, Event

Spring is in the air and what better way to celebrate this beautiful weather than going to en plein air art exhibit and event celebrating the arts within the community we live in.

Artist Vian Shamounki Borchert will have her latest artwork inspired form the DMV / Washington DC area's nature on exhibit. The landscapes that will be on exhibit depict the nation's Cherry Blossom trees and notable memorials like Thomas Jefferson Memorial in the Spring time surrounded by the beautiful Cherry Blossoms. Along with her landscapes depicting different seasons, Borchert will have her latest figurative work from portrait paintings of iconic figures such as singers Elvis Presley, Prince and David Bowie to beauty icons like actress Audrey Hepburn to modern beauties such as singer Gwen Stefani in the look of Marilyn Monroe.

A fashionable sunset rooftop soiree featuring an evening of music, art, and views of the DC skyline in an elegant setting, watch the sunset along with an art exhibition and DJ playing a mix of international music throughout the evening. Artwork is available for purchase.

About the Artist:

Vian Shamounki Borchert is an award winning contemporary artist who has shown both internationally and nationally in many group and solo exhibitions. The National Gallery of Art in Amman, Jordan and The Jerusalem Fund Gallery, Washington, DC have her artwork in their permanent collection. Vian is a graduate from The Corcoran College of Art and Design, Washington, D.C. and has a Master Web Design degree. Vian’s expressionistic art illustrates a poetic mood and a thoughtful journey in the world of painting. Vian's artwork had been on exhibit at the United Nations General Assembly, Public Lobby Gallery, NYC, NY, The International Trade Center in Washington DC and Georgetown University Medical Center and many others. Vian currently teaches art classes to adults at the Yellow Barn Studio & Gallery, Glen Echo Park, MD and at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn, Gaithersburg, MD.
