Summer Art Exhibitions

Artist Vian Shamounki Borchert has been busy this Summer exhibiting her artwork in galleries all over the world. From local galleries such as the Gaithersburg Arts Barn Gallery in Gaithersburg, MD to national exhibits in Miami, Florida at Miami's Wynwood Art District to international galleries like "Butterfly Fine Art Gallery" in the trendy art-centered area of Manchester, England.

All the paintings on exhibit are some of her latest figurative work. In Manchester, United Kingdom she has five of her latest figurative paintings in an exhibit titled "Man/Woman: Figurative Exhibition".

Gallery is located at the trendy "Northern Quarter" area of Manchester where a lot of world renowned street artists have painted the city's walls and murals in a project called "Cities of Hope - A street art convention".

Butterfly Gallery is located at: 117 Oldham Street, Manchester, United Kingdom.

In Miami, her painting depicting the Rock star "Jimi Hendrix" was selected as one of the finalist at the "Figure & Portrait Exhibition" in Miami at "Art & Sol Studios Gallery " located at the center of Miami's Wynwood Art District and one block from the renowned Wynwood Art Walls.

Moreover, in Gaithersburg, Maryland at "The Gaithersburg Arts Barn" Gallery in Kentlands, Borchert has six paintings on exhibit in the Faculty Exhibition which is on view till September 5 in the "Americana" exhibition where Borchert has made especially portraits of Pop American icons such as “The King of Rock 'n' Roll” Elvis Presley to the classic beauty of actress Audrey Hepburn and legendary singer and musician "Prince".

The artist will resume teaching art classes in Drawing and in Painting in September at the two venues where she teaches in Montgomery County at The Gaithersburg Arts Barn and at The Yellow Barn Studio, Glen Echo Park, MD

She will be teaching morning classes in "Drawing" on Wednesday mornings, and in "Acrylic Painting" on Tuesday mornings. Classes are for adults. All levels of experience are welcome.

Borchert will be teaching a class in "Watercolor Painting" at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo Park on Monday mornings.
