TimberNook of Central Maryland to Participate in Family Nature Day

TimberNook of Central Maryland is looking forward to participating in the upcoming Family Nature Day, hosted by by the Lois Green Sligo Chapter of the Izaak Walton League. The event, on May 7th, will feature a variety of free activities including birdhouse construction, archery demos, fishing, and kid friendly crafts.

The nature-based developmental program, TimberNook, was created by an occupational therapist, and uses nature to encourage children's fine and gross motor development, social skills, sensory integration, and more. The Central Maryland camp is the newest addition to the TimberNook family and will launch 3 weeks of summer camps this July on the Izaak Walton League's Gaithersburg grounds.

TimberNook of Central Maryland is owned and operated by pediatric physical therapist, Christine Force. Christine will be on site at Family Nature Day to meet with families, discuss the TimberNook program and the importance of outdoor play for children, provide fun crafts for the kids, as well as offer discounted registration for this summer's programs.
