Yellow Pavement Stripes Come Loose on Rt. 28, W. Montgomery Ave.
Year after year, we observe this problem on our roads. Maybe old-fashioned road paint was the better method and material.
UPDATE March 9, 2025: It took a couple of weeks, but the loose yellow striping seems to be cleaned up as I drove past.
Submitted Feb 16 to the MD State Highway Dept, because Rt. 28 is a state road:
Several hundred feet of yellow line striping has come loose and is cluttering Rt 28 (West Montgomery Avenue) just east of the 270 offramp. Both eastbound and westbound. See photos. This loose striping seems to be a perennial problem for both county and state roads. Maybe old-fashioned road paint was the better solution. This "stick-on" yellow or white ribbon stuff often does not seem to stick well, no matter what month of the year it is applied.
