GERMANTOWN, MD — Surveillance video of a man suspected of robbing a Germantown 7-Eleven store twice in the past year was released Wednesday by Montgomery County Police in hopes that the public might help identify the thief. (See the video at the bottom of this story.)

The first armed robbery of the 7-Eleven store in the 12800 block of Clopper Road was reported on July 23, 2022. A police news release said the suspect entered the store, pointed a handgun at the employees and demanded money. The robber removed an undisclosed amount of money from the registers and left.

About 4 a.m. on June 2, 2023, the same armed suspect walked into the same 7-Eleven store, went behind the counter, and pushed an employee to the ground. Police said the man took money from the registers and left the scene.
