Clarksburg Students Arrested After Handgun Brought To School: PD
Five students at Clarksburg High School were arrested after a teen brought a gun on campus and was robbed by a group of students, cops said.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Five Clarksburg High School students have been arrested after police say a teen brought a handgun on campus and was robbed by a group of students.
Around 1 p.m. on Monday, a School Resource Officer was notified by an administrator that a 15-year-old student had been robbed earlier that day. A witness also told the officer that the robbery victim had brought a gun to school, Montgomery County police said.
The officer searched the student's backpack and discovered a loaded handgun magazine. According to authorities, the student then admitted to bringing a handgun to school.

An investigation by detectives revealed that the victim of the robbery and four other students all met in the bathroom that morning. That's where the four suspects stole the handgun, wallet, and cash.
Three students were arrested, charged as juveniles, and released to their parents or guardians, according to police.

- Male, 15, charged as a juvenile with possession of a handgun and possession of a deadly weapon on school grounds
- Male, 15, charged as a juvenile with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery
- Male, 16, charged as a juvenile with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery
The two suspects charged as adults have been identified as 16-year-old Tyson Brown, of Clarksburg, and 18-year-old Justin Ferguson, of Gaithersburg.
Brown was charged with possession of a handgun, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery; and Ferguson was charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
