Crime Summary: Armed Robbery, Sex Offense reported

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department for Montgomery County's 5th District. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 23-year-old Germantown man was arrested, following a report of aggravated assault in the 11100 block of Maryland Manor Court at 12:12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16. Police said the man threatened the alleged victim with a weapon and was arrested.

Commercial burglaries were reported between 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, and 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at:

  • Top Nails, 11520 Middlebrook Road in Germantown.
  • Extreme Hair Salon, 11518 Middlebrook Road in Germantown.

Police arrested a 27-year-old man from Mt. Airy, Md., for allegedly exposing himself at Kohl’s, 20918 Frederick Road in Germantown, on Friday, Jan. 13 at 4 p.m.

An armed robbery was reported at Brewers Tavern Drive and Sutler Square Terrace in Clarksburg at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10. Police said the suspect assaulted the alleged victim with a weapon and obtained property. The suspect is described as a 22- to 28-year-old male, about 5’10” to 6’2”, with a thin build.

A strong-arm robbery was reported in the 18100 block of Bent Willow Circle in Germantown at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12. Police said the man assaulted the alleged victim and obtained property. The suspect is described as a 20- to 25-year-old male with dreadlocks, about 5’6” and 150 pounds.

A strong-arm robbery was reported at Subway, 12601 Wisteria Drive in Germantown, on Wednesday, at 9:15 p.m.  Jan. 11 Police said a male displayed a weapon and obtained property. The suspect is described as 23- to 30-years old, between 6’ and 6’2” tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds.

Police arrested a 55-year-old man suspected in a residential burglary reported in the 20500 block of Golf Course Drive in Germantown, 10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9. Police said the suspect as known to the alleged victim.

A peeping tom incident was reported in the 26000 block of Grey Eagle Court in Germantown at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12. Police said the a man wearing a beanie cap was looking through the window at the alleged victim.

Police believe two suspects were involved in an aggravated assault reported in the 12700 block of Pumpkin Seed Court in Germantown on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 6:15 p.m. Police said male suspects assaulted the alleged victim with a weapon and fled. The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect #1: 17- to 20-years-old, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds
  • Suspect #2: 17- to 19-years-old, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds

A residential burglary was reported in the 12900 block of Summit Ridge Terrace in Germantown on Monday, Jan. 9.
